CBSE Board Exam 2021: 12th Examinations Postponed, 10th Exam Canceled

New date sheet for CBSE Board 12th exams soon

While giving an update about the meeting with PM Modi, the Education Minister informed that the CBSE Board 12th examinations, which were to be held from May 4 to June 14, have been postponed for the time being. The new datesheet for these exams will be released later. However, the status for conducting these exams will be assessed on 1 June 2021. Also, the candidates will be given at least 15 days time for preparation.

CBSE board 10th students will get marks from internal assessment

In the meeting held with the Prime Minister today, it has been decided to evaluate the students on the basis of internal assessment along with the cancellation of the CBSE Board's 10th examinations. However, the government has given the facility to these students that they will be given an opportunity to attend the 10th board exams at the appropriate time later.

2. The Board Exams for Class Xth to be held from 4th May to June 14th, 2021 are hereby canceled. The results of Class Xth Board will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the Board.

Demand was postponed / canceled

The demand for postponement or cancellation of CBSE board examinations is increasing in view of the growing cases of Corona pandemic infection across the country and the restrictions being imposed in various states for prevention. Chief Ministers have demanded different states

The Chief Ministers of various states have demanded the cancellation of the CBSE board examinations. After the postponement of 10th, 11th and 12th board examinations in Maharashtra, the demand for postponement of CBSE board examinations by the Chief Minister has already gone. After this, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also demanded the cancellation of the CBSE board examinations on Tuesday and declared the result while evaluating it through internal assessment or online exam. Similarly, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has also demanded the Central Government and CBSE to postpone the CBSE board examinations. However, the decision to postpone the 10th and 12th examinations of the MP Board is yet to be decided. Apart from these, opposition parties leaders have also demanded the postponement of CBSE board examinations.

CBSE Board Exams: Canceled or Postponed?

Students, parents and teachers as well as many exam experts, academics are also suggesting to postpone or cancel the CBSE board exams. At the same time, according to various media reports published on the basis of information received from the sources of the Union Ministry of Education and CBSE, the chances of cancellation of the examinations of the CBSE Board are quite low. However, postponement of 10th and 12th board examinations may be considered by the ministry and the board.
